In reply to <a href="https://botanicalmood.com/affordable-diy-garden-decoration-ideas/#comment-147">Chris Carrington</a>.

hey Chris,

thanks foryour comment i appreaciate it! I’ve worked with curved borders on a few landscape and deck projects, and the easiest solution is usually a pre-made curved edging system if you want a clean, consistent shape. When I needed a more custom look, I found that straight boards could be bent or laminated into a curve, but that takes a little more planning and the right material.

If you’re going for a natural wood finish, I’d look for a local lumber yard or a custom woodworking shop that can help with bent or laminated pieces. For faster installs, I’ve had better luck with composite curved edging kits because they save time and hold their shape well.

Dear Marianne, I am a landscaper in Philadelphia PA and found your site when searching for how I integrate curves into a deck landscaping project I am working on.

I am very interested in using curved wood to create borders. Can you give me any information as to where to get this material or how to create it?

Thanks so much for any help you can provide. Your work is wonderful.
